1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the AI-powered tools hosted at anuragkashyap.org/tools/. It does not apply to the main AnuragKashyap.org website, the contact form therein, or any consulting engagement. Those are governed separately.

2. How These Tools Work — Technically

Understanding the technical architecture is the clearest proof of our privacy commitment. Here is exactly what happens when you use a tool:

• Step 1 — Your browser. You enter your information into the form. For the astrology tool, your birth chart calculations happen entirely within your browser using a local astronomy library. No data leaves your device at this stage.
• Step 2 — Our server. When you submit, your data is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our server. The server formats your data into a structured prompt and immediately forwards it to the Anthropic Claude API. Our server does not write anything to a database, log file, or any storage medium at this step.
• Step 3 — Anthropic Claude API. Your data is processed by Anthropic's AI to generate your report. This processing is governed by Anthropic's own privacy and data processing policies (see Section 4 below).
• Step 4 — Your report. The generated report is sent back to your browser and displayed. Once displayed, neither our server nor Anthropic retains it.
• Step 5 — Session end. When you close the tab, refresh the page, or start a new reading, all data in your session is gone. There is no retrieval path. There is no account to log into. The data simply does not exist anymore.

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not use cookies to track you across sessions or devices on these tools.
• We do not use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or equivalent) on the tools pages.
• We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing platforms.
• We do not use your data to train AI models.
• We do not create profiles of users based on their tool usage.
• We do not combine data from these tools with data from the main website contact form.
• We do not send unsolicited communications based on data entered in these tools.

4. Anthropic — The AI Provider

These tools use the Claude AI model developed by Anthropic, PBC. When your data is sent to our server and forwarded to the Anthropic API, it is subject to Anthropic's API Data Processing Agreement.

Key points of Anthropic's policy as it applies to API usage (i.e., the way these tools use Claude — not claude.ai):

• Anthropic does not use API inputs and outputs to train its models by default.
• Data submitted via the API may be retained for a limited period for trust and safety monitoring purposes, per Anthropic's published terms.
• Anthropic does not sell API data to third parties.

We strongly encourage you to review Anthropic's policy if you have concerns about how your data is handled at the AI processing stage.

5. A Note on Sensitive Information

These tools are designed to collect sensitive personal data — including health conditions, lab values, family details, financial profiles, and birth information — because that data is necessary to generate meaningful, personalised reports.

We take the sensitivity of this data seriously. We have made deliberate architectural choices — no database, no logging, no session persistence — precisely because we understand what you are sharing and why it must be protected.

You are never required to enter your real name. You may use a pseudonym or initials. The tools do not verify identity and do not require it. The accuracy of the report depends on the accuracy of the data you provide — but that data is yours to control.

6. Children Under 18

These tools are intended for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used these tools, please be assured that no data has been stored. There is nothing to delete because nothing was retained.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we introduce any feature that changes how data is handled — for example, an opt-in notification service — this policy will be updated before that feature launches, and users will be clearly informed of the change and asked to consent explicitly. We will never retroactively change data handling practices without disclosure.
